A dentist who treats patients holistically, as individuals and as members of a family and community, and who provides continuous, high-quality care within a doctor–patient relationship built on trust and mutual benefit. Also able to educate the public through a range of conventional and electronic media suited to community conditions.
A dentist able to make sound decisions when solving dental problems, with the aim of improving the quality of health services.
A dentist able to communicate effectively with patients, families, communities, and other relevant parties when providing education to improve oral and dental health.
A dentist able to lead, organize, and motivate the community to take part in improving general health, and oral and dental health in particular.
A dentist able to work effectively and harmoniously with others, both within and outside healthcare organizations, to understand the needs of patients and the community.
A dentist able to act as a professional educator and scientist, continually developing themselves in line with advances in science and technology through further learning and research.
A dentist who is attuned to the health needs of their surroundings and has the creativity and innovation to drive change and offer solutions that improve community health.
A dentist able to work together with other healthcare teams.
